Sustainability work is a natural part of our daily work and is based on the company’s and our owner XANO:s sustainability policy. This work is a prerequisite for obtaining long-term profitable growth in our business from an ecological, social and economic perspective.

Sustainable performance
Resinit’s work and commitment are based on the three perspectives: Ecological, Social and Economic Sustainability. Resinit works target oriented with these three areas with a focus on parts that make a real difference. The company’s performance, based on each area, is measured and targeted to contribute to awareness and the basis for continuous improvements. For example, the amount of residual products that the business entails are measured. See Fig.1. -

Resinit has been awarded a silver medal in recognition of sustainability achievment from EcoVadis!
Sustainability work is a natural part of our daily work and it is based on the company's and our owner XANO:S sustainability policy. This work is a prerequisite for obtaining long-term profitable growth in our business from an ecological, social and economic perspective.

Ecological
As a manufacturing company we have an environmental responsibility for the consumption and ecological footprint that the business entails, such as:- Energy, water, chemicals
- Transport
- Material, equipment
- Residual products and climate emissions
We are also responsible for helping our customers with the most environmentally-friendly alternatives and setting requirements in our supplier choices. All in all, this constitutes Resinit’s environmental performance, which we measure and create goals based on.Resinit is certified according to ISO14001, where we strive every day to improve performance, achieve set environmental goals and promote ecological development of the business.
For example, through:
- Electricity from 100% renewable energy.
- Investments for reduced energy use and increased efficiency.
- Fractionation of all residual products, which goes to energy recovery or recycling of materials. No residual products go to landfill.
- Continuous improvements of our processes (efficiency and quality) that reduce residual products and consumption.

Social
We see a good and safe work environment where we respect each other as the key to success.
The business is based on the values and the “spirit” that exists in the company as well as XANO (our company owner) code of conduct implemented in the organizsation. To work proactively, the company provides, among other things, wellness grants and has a cooperation with Stegeholmshälsan (occupational health care).
To ensure a good work environment from both a physical and psychosocial perspective, Resinit has a cross-functional work environment management which includes:
- Risk analyses
- Safety inspections
- Workplace surveys
- Development at individual level.
Through staff appraisals that are conducted annually with each individual, current and future competence needs, among other things, are analysed. Based on the staff appraisal, activities are planned to ensure the individual’s continued development and needs.Community involvement and contributing to local development in Västervik municipality is an important part of Resinit’s sustainability work.
Resinit does this through, among other things:
- Involvement in the upper secondary school’s programme council for the industrial engineering programme.
- Being a collaborating company in Teknikcollege.
- Providing internships and training places.
- Sponsorship of “young entrepreneurship.
Through these commitments we are involved in influencing future education and training courses and needs in the industry as well as securing the supply of skills. In recent years, several students have been employed by Resinit after completing their education and training.Resinit also sponsors local sports clubs and associations in Västervik municipality.

Economic
The company’s goal is profitable growth and, to achieve this, a long-term approach is required.
Through commitment, knowledge as well as open and honest communication, the company creates long-term relationships with our customers, suppliers and employees. A high level of business ethics and business morale is a given in our everyday work.
Resource savings are made through a high focus on awareness, productivity, efficiency and flexibility in the business.
The company’s machinery and staff capacity must be managed based on customer needs where a high level of technology and degree of automation must permeate the business.
Resinit’s ability to meet customer requirements and set goals is measured continuously and forms a basis for awareness, optimised resource management and continuous improvements. All in all, this contributes to Resinit’s sustainability.
